POOR BOY
There may have been a time when I didn't know Sam and Joe Herrmann,
but I don't remember for sure when it was. Our friendship has so
enriched my life that even earlier experiences seem affected by
knowing them. I suppose the first time we were together, the very
first, was an October Sunday nearly five years ago when they came to
our home on Dillon's Run for music the way we made it on so many
Sundays.
You may have heard some of the music on this record before. It has
been soaked up from all sorts of places, but each song is special
because of a certain Critton Hollow twist or turn. What comes across
clearly is their commitment to their music, which is the driving force
behind their art. Michael Kline, March 25, 1979 |

SWEET HOME
Sam likes to call Critton Hollow music "People Music". It's the people
who write it, the people who live it, and the people who love it. It's
sometimes fact, sometimes fantasy, often funny, but always sincere. We
think you'll like this, our second record, and hope it will convey the
deep feelings we have for the music, our audiences and each other. |
